FAQs
Is House of MWF a shelter or rescue?
No. We are not a shelter, rescue, or boarding facility. House of MWF focuses on:
• welfare education
• responsible adoption support
• advocacy
• community engagement
• developing long-term welfare solutions, including our Sanctuary Project (in progress)
What is the Sanctuary Project?
The Sanctuary Project is a flagship long-stay decompression initiative currently being developed under House of MWF. It is not a replacement for shelters — it complements them by providing a stable, behaviourally appropriate environment for animals who struggle in traditional high-arousal settings. More updates will be shared once the development phase progresses.
Is the Sanctuary open or operational yet?
Not yet. We are currently in the planning and development stages, including land selection, design, partnerships, and funding framework. Updates will be shared publicly when confirmed.
Do you have animals available for adoption?
Yes - we spotlight animals from partner shelters and rescues who may be overlooked, long-stay, shy or in need of more visibility. Click here to view animals currently available through our partners.
Are the animals under House of MWF’s care?
No. All adoptable animals featured on our website remain under the care and management of their respective shelters or rescuers. House of MWF assists through:
• visibility
• storytelling
• welfare education
• connecting suitable adopters to partner’s organisations
The adoption process and approval follow each shelter’s guidelines.
Can I meet the animals listed on your site?
Yes - but only through appointments arranged with the shelter managing the animal. We help coordinate interest but do not house or transport animals ourselves.
Can I volunteer with House of MWF?
At this stage, we are not accepting expressions of interests for future volunteering opportunities. Do keep an eye out on availability on this page.
How can I support House of MWF?
You can support by:
• sharing our educational posts
• reading & engaging with our welfare blog
• supporting shelter animals featured on our page
• contributing to wishlist items (coming soon)
• collaborating with us on welfare projects
• following our journey as the Sanctuary develops
Do you accept donations?
Not yet. As a newly incorporated CLG, we are establishing governance, compliance, and financial systems before accepting monetary donations. This ensures full transparency and responsible stewardship.
Where will the sanctuary be located?
We are evaluating locations in Malaysia that provide safe land availability, welfare-friendly space, and sustainability. The exact site will be announced once finalised.
Will animals be moved from Singapore to the sanctuary?
Possibly — but only select cases and always in collaboration with partner shelters. The Sanctuary is designed for long-stay, behaviourally sensitive, or special-needs animals who require decompression. Transport, welfare protocols, and costs will be carefully managed with partners.
Will the sanctuary replace shelters?
No. The Sanctuary fills a missing middle tier — the space between “shelter” and “forever home.” It supports shelters; it does not compete with them.
Can I visit the sanctuary?
Public visits are not available at this stage. However, once development progresses, we may open structured volunteer stays and educational tours.
Is House of MWF a registered organisation?
Yes. House of MWF Ltd is a registered public company limited by guarantee (CLG) in Singapore. Our governance framework and compliance systems are being built to meet long-term welfare standards.
Is House of MWF a charity?
Not yet. Charity registration may be pursued once our programmes and financial systems are established.
