#kranjicats

On June 5, 2023, the Singaporean government announced plans to reclaim @singaporeturfclub by 2027 for residential development, citing a decrease in local horse racing attendance. The venue, cherished by many as a hobby and home to over 700 horses and more than 100 cats, also provides livelihoods for over 300 individuals. Singapore Turf Club will conclude its operations with its final race scheduled for October 5, 2024, marking the end of over 180 years of local horse racing history. Concerns abound among stable workers regarding job losses, the well-being of exported horses, and the fate of the beloved cats, which have been cared for and nurtured daily. These cats deserve a permanent home where they can continue to receive love and care. This project is known as the #kranjicats

As the @singaporeturfclub closes and begins renovations, the once lush green spaces are being transformed. This has displaced many animals, including dogs and snakes, that once thrived peacefully in the area, leading to a noticeable rise in animal encounters and attacks.

Among the most affected are the #KranjiCats, who were once cherished and cared for by the workers of the Turf Club. With the renovations underway, the absence of regular human foot traffic has made it increasingly difficult to provide these cats with consistent meals and care. Now, they face shrinking safe spaces, limited access to food, and growing threats from displaced wildlife. Tragically, two cat deaths have been reported due to dog bites. May heaven be filled with warm sunbeams for them to nap in peace and may they chase butterflies in the sky with a heart free of pain and fear.

By adopting one of the #KranjiCats, you are not only offering them a second chance at life but also ensuring they receive the love, warmth, and nourishment they urgently need in this changing environment. Your small act of kindness can make a profound difference in their lives. Contact @kranjicats now!

Meet Tinky🥰, a sweet, resilient 5-year-old Singapore Special who deserves all the love, treats, and playtime in a forever home. He’s been through a lot, but his gentle spirit shines through after everything he’s endured.

Tinky grew up with his brother, Tiger, and they were the cuddliest siblings, always by each other’s side and sharing their naps. After being adopted and later returned, Tinky lost his brother to alleged dog bites. Tinky then went missing and was found in a drain, likely fleeing from the wild dogs or the heavy rain. But after being rescued, he’s healthy and ready for his new beginning.

Tinky is neutered and ready for adoption!

Requirements for Tinky’s new home:

- Fully meshed windows and any potential exits

- Microchipping

- Vaccinations and parasite treatments

If you’re ready to give Tinky a forever home filled with love and joy, reach out to @kranjicats to learn more about him today! 💗
